Tough Furniture has a long history of supplying residential special schools with robust and attractive furniture that can also cope with challenging behaviours. In addition to this its recent collaboration with SEN teachers and managers has developed a new approach to classroom furniture, whereby the company’s design skills combined with frontline staff experience, together produce carefully configured high quality furniture, custom made to order. This has been shown to make a positive contribution to managing ASD and other complex learning needs, and actively contribute to the creation of an optimum learning environment for special needs.
