The School Food Trust was established by the Department for Education and Skills in September 2005. Its remit is to transform school food and food skills, promote the education and health of children and young people and improve the quality of food in schools.

UK schools could save around £70 million per year by reducing their energy costs. This would also reduce CO2 emissions by up to 300,000 tonnes. Simple and cheap measures could allow schools of all sizes to use less energy, save money on their energy bills and also reduce their carbon emissions.

The School Governors' One-Stop Shop (SGOSS) is a small, highly successful charity which recruits volunteers to become governors in schools across England. SGOSS has won awards for the way it works with volunteers, builds partnerships with employers, manages its finances, and develops its staff. Its services are FREE to Local Authorities, volunteers, employers and schools.
